Matt Dewald Running Journals

Hello, I have been running for a long time now and am a marathoner. I have run 2:23:35 for the “one score and 6.2 mile distance”. I have a huge passion for it and just can’t stop. I use to run for Yankton High School and University of South Dakota. Now I continue to try and be competitive. I have always been a high mileage guy which helps me in the marathon.

This past year I injuried my foot pretty bad and was in a walking boot for 6-7 weeks. In that time I lost a significant amount of fitness and have been slowly returning to the grind in hopes of running some marathon PR’s in 2010. I will be posting my log as I slowly build up mileage and start training hard again. I hope this log provides insight to what it takes to run a good marathon.
